Why I Don’t Use BANS Anymore

Once upon a time, I used to create our specific niche websites with Build a Niche Store (BANS) software, a relatively popular tool that many people new to online business find reasonably easy to use.

Very quickly, I saw the limitations to this method and the fact that supposed experts were on eBay selling sites built with this software, for anything up to £2000, was a complete turn off for me and for Kejabe Media.

The limitations of BANS means that all the sites developed have a traceable "footprint" and many have a visual footprint too. There are well over 800,000 BANS sites to be found on Google, many of which are just a dormant page of eBay listings linked back through Commission Junction. This can only damage all sites developed this way.

We quickly spotted the potential of utilising the power of the blogging software tool, WordPress. It sure started out as a blogging tool but now, with the hundreds of add-on components and the thousands of themes, WordPress is now a true business website development platform. Add to it the phpBay PRO plugin and you can easily exceed the potential of those old and new BANS sites because your options are almost limitless.

My intention is to write a series of articles on putting a site together with WordPress and phpBay PRO over the coming weeks. Together, these tools will provide you with the potential to succeed where you haven't before.
